5:8. तौभी जितनी ईंटें अब तक उन्हें बनानी पड़ती थीं उतनी ही आगे को भी उन से बनवाना, ईंटोंकी गिनती कुछ भी न घटाना; क्योंकि वे आलसी हैं; इस कारण यह कहकर चिल्लाते हैं, कि हम जा कर अपने परमेश्वर के लिये बलिदान करें।

5:8. But you must require of them the same quota of bricks that they were making before. Do not reduce it, for they are slackers. That is why they are crying, 'Let us go sacrifice to our God.'

5:8. But still require them to make the same number of bricks as before. Don't reduce the quota. They are lazy. That's why they are crying out, 'Let us go and offer sacrifices to our God.'

5:8. And the number of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish aught thereof: for they are idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

5:8. But the number of bricks that they made in the past you shall impose on them, you shall by no means reduce it, for they are idle. Therefore they cry, 'Let us go and offer sacrifice to our God.'
