1:13. व्यर्थ अन्नबलि फिर मत लाओ; धूप से मुझे घृणा है। नये चांद और विश्रामदिन का मानना, और सभाओं का प्रचार करना, यह मुझे बुरा लगता है। महासभा के साथ ही साथ अनर्थ काम करना मुझ से सहा नहीं जाता।

1:13. Do not bring any more meaningless offerings; I consider your incense detestable! You observe new moon festivals, Sabbaths, and convocations, but I cannot tolerate sin-stained celebrations!

1:13. Stop bringing me your meaningless gifts; the incense of your offerings disgusts me! As for your celebrations of the new moon and the Sabbath and your special days for fasting-- they are all sinful and false. I want no more of your pious meetings.
