19. अश्शूर के राजाओं ने उन देशों के देवताओं को जला डाला है किन्तु वे सच्चे देवता नहीं थे। वे तो केवल ऐसे मूर्ती थे जिन्हें लोगों ने बनाया था। वे तो कोरी लकड़ी थे, कोरे पत्थर थे। इसलिये वे समाप्त हो गये। वे नष्ट हो गये।
