7. हे प्रभु, तू धर्मी है, परन्तु हम लोगों को आज के दिन लज्जित होना पड़ता है, अर्थात यरूशलेम के निवासी आदि सब यहूदी, क्या समीप क्या दूर के सब इस्राएली लोग जिन्हें तू ने उस विश्वासघात के कारण जो उन्होंने तेरा किया था, देश देश में बरबस कर दिया है, उन सभों को लज्जित होना पड़ता है।

7. “हे यहोवा, तू खरा है, और तुझमें नेकी है! जबकी आज हम लज्जित हैं। यरूशलेम और यहूदा के लोग लज्जित हैं—इस्राएल के सभी लोग लज्जित हैं। वे लोग जो निकट हैं और वे लोग जो बहुत दूर हैं। हे यहोवा! तूने उन लोगों को बहुत से देशों में फैला दिया। उन सभी देशों में बसे इस्राएल के लोगों को शर्म आनी चाहिये। हे यहोवा, उन सभी बुरी बातों के लिये, जो उन्होंने तेरे विरूद्ध की हैं, उन्हें लज्जित होना चाहिये।
