21. एक व्यक्ति अपनी बुद्धि, अपने ज्ञान और अपनी चतुराई का प्रयोग करते हुए कठिन परिश्रम कर सकता हैं। किन्तु वह व्यक्ति तो मर जायेगा और जिन वस्तुओं के लिये उस व्यक्ति ने कठिन परिश्रम किया था, वे किसी दूसरे ही व्यक्ति को मिल जायेंगी। उन व्यक्तियों ने वस्तुओं के लिये कोई काम तो नहीं किया था, किन्तु उन्हें वह सभी कुछ हासिल हो जायेगा। इससे मुझे बहुत दुःख होता है। यह न्यायपूर्ण तो नहीं है। यह तो विवेकपूर्ण नहीं है।
